Title: "Yep!" and Making "Purple Jesus"

Contributor: John V. Verner Chief Resident 1957-1958

My most memorable times were working six days and nights a week under Dr. Stead. I remember my wise choice not to tell Dr. Stead that Gene Owen was two days late returning from Christmas Break. I said to Gene, on his belated return, "I guess you had a good reason." His reply was a laconic "Yep!" No further explanation was ever received or needed.

And I remember making "Purple Jesus" out of absolute alcohol and grape juice. A good time was had by all.
